Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer in Reston, VA for a part-time, unarmed patrol role. This position requires DoD Secret Clearance and a focus on customer service at an aerospace/defense site. Flexible schedule and competitive hourly pay of $24.62 are offered.

Responsibilities include patrolling, access control, incident response, and detailed reporting to site leadership. Background checks and drug screening are part of the process.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• Active DoD Secret Clearance required.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• CPR certification preferred.
• A guard card or license preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation required.
• Drug screen required.
• Licensing requirements may be required.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

• Conduct regular and random patrols of facilities, restricted areas, access points, parking areas, and the perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access control points and verify authorization for entry to designated areas in accordance with site procedures.
• Document patrol observations, incidents, and/or maintenance concerns accurately and promptly, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• An active DoD Secret Clearance is required.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
