Job summary

Allied Universal in Reston, VA is seeking a Part Time Unarmed Security Officer with an active DoD Secret Clearance. You will patrol, monitor access points, and deliver courteous, professional customer service in an aerospace/defense location.

This role offers flexible scheduling, the chance to advance within a leading security services company, and a pay rate of $24.62 per hour.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• An active DoD Secret Clearance is required.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

• Tue: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Wed: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Thur: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or contractors at an aerospace and defense location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of facilities, restricted areas, access points, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access control points and verify authorization for entry to designated areas in accordance with site procedures.
• Document patrol observations, incidents, and/or maintenance concerns accurately and promptly, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• An active DoD Secret Clearance is required.
