Allied Universal is hiring a Part-Time Security Officer in Portsmouth, RI. You will patrol and safeguard facilities, maintaining a visible presence and delivering excellent customer service in an aerospace/defense environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations calmly and professionally.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor and document access activity, visitor procedures, and required credentials in line with site requirements.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports on incidents, observations, patrols, and other security-related activities and share with site leadership.

Pay Rate: $21.58 / Hour

• Wed: 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM
• Thur: 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor and document access activity, visitor procedures, and/or required credentials in accordance with site requirements and applicable policies.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports regarding incidents, observations, patrols, and other security-related activities, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an active DoD Secret clearance.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
