Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Security Clearance Patrol Driver in Portsmouth, RI. You will patrol, deter incidents, and maintain a visible security presence at an aerospace/defense location while adhering to site procedures and reporting requirements.

The role requires a valid DoD Secret clearance and a valid driver’s license, with shift schedules including days, evenings, and weekends. Excellent customer service and professional communication are essential to success.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret Clearance required.
• Valid driver’s license required per policy.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check as a condition of employment.
• Drug screen as permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors at an aerospace and defense location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations calmly and professionally.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of buildings, restricted areas, and parking areas.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials per site procedures; assist with visitor/contractor entry.
• Prepare reports and logs for patrol observations, incidents, and shift communications.

As a Security Officer Full Time Security Clearance Patrol Driver in Portsmouth, RI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a leading aerospace and defense location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming, controlled environment. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license. You will communicate professionally, provide outstanding customer service, and report security-related concerns while demonstrating Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, caring, team-focused, and integrity-driven values.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors at an aerospace and defense location while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services when required.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, restricted areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity, unauthorized access, and facility concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials in accordance with site procedures; assist with visitor and contractor entry requirements.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required logs for patrol observations, incidents, access-related activity, and shift communications.

Minimum Requirements:

• An active DoD Secret Clearance is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
