Job summary

Allied Universal in Middletown, RI is hiring a Security Officer Part Time Patrol with active DoD Secret Clearance. You will provide unarmed patrols, deter incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service at a technology/media/telecom location.

Schedule includes weekend shifts with pay rate $26.27 per hour. You will complete routine reports, monitor access points, and respond to incidents following site procedures. Allied Universal is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret Clearance is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation will be conducted in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screening may be required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements vary by state and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations calmly and in a problem-solving manner, escalating as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior spaces, exterior areas, parking locations, and the business perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor authorization, maintain logs, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Prepare clear, accurate incident and patrol reports in accordance with site-specific requirements.

Job Schedule:

• Sat: 03:00 PM - 07:00 PM
• Sun: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior spaces, exterior areas, parking locations, and the business perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor authorization, maintain required logs, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and patrol activities in accordance with site-specific requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an active DoD Secret Clearance.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
