Job summary

Allied Universal in Portsmouth, RI is seeking a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Driver with Active Clearance to protect clients across aerospace/defense and other industries. This part-time role offers a flexible schedule via the Claim a Shift platform and requires a valid driver’s license and DoD Secret Clearance.

You will perform routine patrols, maintain a visible presence, verify access, respond to incidents, and file daily reports with a focus on customer service and safety.

Qualifications

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors at an aerospace and defense location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of facilities, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and report unauthorized access attempts or unusual conditions.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Prepare accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and patrol logs in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• An active DoD Secret Clearance is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
