Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced (Part Time) in Indianapolis, IN. This position offers fixed anchor shifts with a six‑month commitment and the option to earn more by claiming additional shifts through the scheduling platform.

You will provide customer service, screen employees and visitors, monitor access points, and respond to incidents as part of a flexible, part-time schedule designed for income stability and career growth within the industry leader.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or delivery drivers while carrying out site-specific procedures at a logistics and distribution location.
• Screen employees, visitors, packages, and/or shipments in accordance with established access-control and screening procedures.
• Monitor entry points and restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and report unauthorized access attempts or suspicious activity.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following emergency response procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of screening areas, loading docks, and the surrounding perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Minimum Requirements

• At least 1 year of security‑related experience is required.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
