Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Part Time Personnel Screening in Indianapolis, IN. You will help with access control, screen individuals and materials, and maintain a visible security presence to deter incidents.

The role offers a Part Time schedule with shifts including 2:00 PM–10:00 PM on weekdays and Sundays. A $17.22/hour pay rate is available along with opportunities for training and career growth within a people-first culture.

Qualifications

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Screen personnel, visitors, packages, and/or property entering designated areas in accordance with established logistics and distribution facility procedures.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for entry to restricted operational, cargo handling, and distribution areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate personnel as required.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, loading areas, parking locations, and perimeter to identify and report unusual conditions or security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
