Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Contraband Detection in Indianapolis, IN. This flexible, part-time role offers fixed anchor shifts with the option to pick up extra shifts to increase earnings.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out security-related screening procedures and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Screen employees, visitors, packages, and personal items in accordance with access-control and screening procedures for a logistics and distribution location.
• Operate screening equipment and conduct visual inspections, reporting prohibited items and policy violations to site leadership.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular patrols of assigned screening areas, access points, and the surrounding perimeter; conditions may vary by client site.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Contraband Detection in Indianapolis, IN, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $17.22 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeTue10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out security‑related screening procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Screen employees, visitors, packages, and personal items in accordance with established access‑control and screening procedures for a logistics and distribution location.
• Operate screening equipment and conduct visual inspections as assigned, reporting prohibited items, irregularities, and policy violations to site leadership.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned screening areas, access points, and the surrounding business perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by client site.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• X‑ray screening experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
