Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Screening Support in Indianapolis, IN. This position offers reliable, fixed shifts with the option to pick up additional shifts via our scheduling platform.

You will perform site-specific screening, verify credentials, and respond to incidents as needed, with a pay rate of $17.22 per hour. The role supports flexible hours and potential growth toward a full-time schedule across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Minimum requirements include being at least 18 years old for unarmed roles (21+ for armed), and possessing a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong customer service skills and the ability to follow site-specific screening procedures.
• Familiarity with access control/badge systems and basic computer/tablet use.
• Experience with X-Ray screening and credential verification is preferred.
• A background check and drug screening are required where permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and vendors by carrying out site-specific screening procedures and responding to incidents as needed.
• Screen personnel, visitors, packages, deliveries, and/or vehicles entering designated areas according to procedures.
• Verify credentials and access permissions; maintain accurate screening records and incident reports.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and emergencies and escalate concerns per site procedures.
• Conduct regular or random patrols to identify and report security-related concerns.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Screening Support in Indianapolis, IN, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $17.22 / Hour

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.


• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and vendors by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.


• Screen personnel, visitors, packages, deliveries, and/or vehicles entering designated areas in accordance with established procedures.


• Verify credentials, access permissions, and shipping documentation; maintain accurate screening and incident records.


• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.


• Conduct regular and random patrols of designated facility areas and perimeter locations to identify and report security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements

• Preferred ability to lift more than 20 lbs.


• Preferred comfort using a computer or tablet.


• Preferred access control/badge experience.


• Preferred X-Ray screening experience.


• Preferred customer service experience.


• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.


• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.


• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
