Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer in Indianapolis, IN. You will provide client and visitor screening, operate screening equipment, and support security operations at a logistics and distribution site.

Role offers a part-time schedule with night shifts (Mon, Tue, Fri 10:00 PM – 06:00 AM) and pays $17.22 per hour. A background check and drug screening are required; candidates must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent.

• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations and report concerns
• Conduct regular patrols to deter unauthorized access and identify security concerns

Pay Rate: $17.22 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Tue: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Fri: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and personnel by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Screen employees, visitors, contractors, and permitted items entering designated areas in accordance with site procedures and access requirements.
• Operate screening equipment and conduct inspections of packages, personal belongings, and/or vehicles as authorized by site policy.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, promptly reporting concerns through established channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of screening areas, operational spaces, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
