Allied Universal in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a Security Officer Part Time X Ray Screening Analyst to safeguard clients across multiple industries. You will conduct screening, monitor access points, and deter incidents with a visible security presence while delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• X-ray screening experience preferred.
• Loss prevention experience preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Access control/badge experience preferred.
• 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen as permitted by law.
• Licensing may be required by state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and drivers while carrying out security procedures and emergency response activities.
• Screen personnel, visitors, packages, and shipments per site procedures.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials for entry into designated areas.
• Respond to incidents calmly and escalate concerns per procedures.
• Conduct regular/random patrols to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.

As a Screener at a logistics and distribution location, you will support security-related operations by conducting screening activities, monitoring access points, and helping to deter incidents through a visible presence. You will use communication and customer service skills while collaborating with site personnel. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $17.22 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Tue: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or drivers while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Screen personnel, visitors, packages, and/or shipments in accordance with site procedures and applicable screening requirements.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials, documentation, and authorization for entry into designated areas.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to established procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the logistics facility, loading areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.

Minimum Requirements:

• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
