Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is hiring a part-time Security Officer Screening Station Attendant in Indianapolis, IN. You’ll operate screening equipment, manage access control, and maintain a visible, customer-focused presence at a logistics and distribution site.

Pay rate is $17.22 per hour with a part-time schedule: Tue 10:00 PM – 06:00 AM and Thu 10:00 PM – 06:00 AM.

Qualifications

• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• A background check is conducted as required by law.
• Drug screening is part of the process.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and drivers by carrying out site-specific screening procedures.
• Screen employees, visitors, contractors, packages, and/or property according to access-control procedures.
• Operate screening equipment and inspections to identify prohibited items or irregular conditions.
• Respond to incidents calmly and report observations to site leadership.
• Conduct patrols of screening areas and document security-related activities.

What You\'ll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and drivers by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Screen employees, visitors, contractors, packages, and/or property in accordance with established access-control and screening procedures.
• Operate screening equipment and conduct inspections as assigned to help identify prohibited items, unauthorized materials, or irregular conditions.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, promptly reporting observations to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned screening areas, access points, loading areas, and perimeter locations; document security-related activities and complete required reports.

Minimum Requirements:

• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
