Job summary

Allied Universal, a leading security and facility services provider, is seeking a Security Officer Screening Support in Indianapolis, IN to help protect clients at a logistics and distribution location. You will operate screening equipment, monitor access points, and report irregularities while delivering professional customer service.

The role is full-time with a daytime/night schedule and a pay rate of $17.22 per hour.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• Loss prevention experience preferred.
• X-ray screening experience preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screen required by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply depending on location.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and drivers per site procedures.
• Screen employees, visitors, contractors, packages, and shipments and report irregularities.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and deter unauthorized entry.
• Respond to incidents calmly following established procedures.
• Conduct regular patrols of screening areas, docks, and perimeter.

As a Security Officer Screening Support in Indianapolis, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener in a logistics and distribution location, you will help support a secure environment by operating screening equipment, monitoring access points, and assisting with the identification of security-related concerns. You will provide outstanding customer service while communicating professionally with employees and visitors. What You’ll Do

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and delivery drivers by carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures, access requirements, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Screen employees, visitors, contractors, packages, and shipments in accordance with site procedures, documenting and reporting irregularities to appropriate personnel.
• Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify credentials and authorized entry, and help to deter unauthorized access.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of screening areas, loading docks, operational spaces, and the perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.

Minimum Requirements

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• X‑ray screening experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
