Job summary

Allied Universal in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a Security Officer for a full-time Screening role. You will use X-ray screening equipment to help identify prohibited items, monitor access points, and report security incidents, while delivering professional customer service.

The position requires at least one year of security experience, high school diploma or equivalent, and willingness to complete background checks and drug screening as required by law.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• X-ray screening experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, background investigation will be conducted.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and team members while carrying out site-specific screening procedures and security-related policies.
• Screen personnel, visitors, packages, and vehicles entering or leaving the site per established procedures.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and report unauthorized access attempts or unusual activity.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly, following site-specific emergency procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas and document security observations.

As a Security Officer Full Time Security Screening in Indianapolis, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener in a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will use X-ray screening equipment to help identify prohibited items, monitor assigned areas, and report security-related concerns. You will maintain a visible presence, provide professional customer service, and communicate clearly with team members and visitors. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and/or team members while carrying out site-specific screening procedures and security-related policies.
• Screen personnel, visitors, packages, and/or vehicles entering or leaving the logistics and distribution location in accordance with established procedures.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and report unauthorized access attempts or unusual activity to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific emergency response procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including the business and perimeter, and document security-related observations and incidents.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least one year of security-related experience.
• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
