Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer X Ray Inspection Technician in Indianapolis, IN to serve clients across logistics and distribution. You'll use screening tech to identify security concerns, support loss prevention, and maintain a professional presence.

This full-time role offers a pay rate of $17.22 per hour and a schedule with night shifts. Candidates should have a high school diploma, be at least 18, pass background and drug screens, and may need licensing.

Qualifications

• Background check in accordance with federal, state and local laws.
• Drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required.
• Age 18+ for unarmed; 21+ for armed positions.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific security procedures and access-control policies at a logistics and distribution location.
• Screen employees, visitors, packages, freight, and/or vehicles according to procedures; report prohibited items or unusual activity.
• Monitor entry/exit points, verify credentials and shipping-related docs, and maintain logs and records.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies following site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols to deter unauthorized access and report concerns.

Job Description

As a Security Officer X Ray Inspection Technician in Indianapolis, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener in a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will use screening technology to help identify potential security-related concerns, support loss prevention efforts, and maintain a professional, welcoming presence. You will communicate clearly with employees and visitors, document observations using computer or tablet systems, and work collaboratively with Allied Universal teammates to support operations with integrity, reliability, and care.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and access-control policies at a logistics and distribution location.
• Screen employees, visitors, packages, freight, and/or vehicles in accordance with established procedures, reporting prohibited items, discrepancies, or unusual activity to appropriate personnel.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and shipping-related documentation as assigned, and maintain accurate logs and records.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific emergency response procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including business operations and perimeter locations, to help deter unauthorized access and report security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
