Qualifications

• Access control and badge handling experience preferred.
• X-ray screening experience preferred.
• Alarm panel experience preferred.

• Must be 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check as per law; drug screen may be required.
• Licensing requirements vary by state/locality; driver’s license if driving position.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, contractors, and delivery personnel by following security procedures and site policies.
• Screen and verify individuals, visitor credentials, deliveries, and access requests per site procedures for a technology-focused location.
• Monitor entry points and access-control activity; document observations and report concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, following escalation and communication procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas to deter unauthorized activity.

Security Officer Screening Operations in Olive Branch, MS, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Screener at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will help maintain a welcoming, professional environment by monitoring access points, screening visitors and items, and responding to security-related concerns. What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Screen and verify individuals, visitor credentials, deliveries, and authorized access requests in accordance with site procedures for a technology-focused location.
• Monitor entry points and access-control activity, document observations, and report unusual activity or policy concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and communication procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including the business perimeter and access points, to help deter unauthorized activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
