Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Screening Specialist in Concord, NC to protect clients across industries. You will screen visitors, monitor access points, and respond to security incidents while supporting employees and guests with a welcoming, service-oriented approach.

The role is full-time with daytime to overnight shifts. A high school diploma is required and CPR certification is preferred to support emergency responses.

Qualifications

• Experience providing customer service in a security or front-desk setting.
• Comfort using computers/tablets for basic tasks and check-ins.
• CPR certification is preferred and helpful for emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific security procedures.
• Screen visitors, credentials, packages, and deliveries according to access-control requirements.
• Monitor entry points and report access concerns and security incidents to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies calmly and according to procedures.
• Conduct regular patrols of interior and exterior areas to deter unauthorized activity.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Screening Specialist in Concord, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Screener in a technology, media, and telecommunications location, you’ll help create a welcoming environment by screening visitors, monitoring access points, and responding to security-related concerns. You will use customer service and communication skills to support employees and guests while helping to deter incidents. Pay Rate: $15.50 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
• Screen visitors, credentials, packages, and/or deliveries in accordance with established access-control requirements for a technology, media, and telecommunications location.
• Monitor entry points and report access concerns, suspicious activity, and other security-related incidents to the appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following emergency response procedures when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned interior areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity; working conditions may vary by location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
