Job summary

Allied Universal in Kenner, LA is seeking a Part Time Security Officer Screening Technician to screen people, packages, and vehicles and maintain a visible, professional security presence. You will support access control, verify credentials, and respond to incidents while delivering strong customer service.

The role requires minimum security experience, a high school diploma, and the ability to work Sat and Sun night shifts.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security‑related experience is required.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site‑specific screening procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Screen individuals, personal belongings, packages, and/or vehicles in accordance with established access-control and screening requirements.
• Monitor entry points and verify credentials, identification, shipping documentation, and/or authorization for access to designated areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner and report concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the distribution location, building perimeter, and loading areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security‑related concerns.

Pay Rate: $15.24 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat 09:00 PM - 05:00 AM
• Sun 09:00 PM - 05:00 AM

What You'll Do:
