Job summary

Allied Universal in Pooler, GA is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer to support screening of people and materials, monitor access points, and respond to incidents with professionalism. You will work with a team to deter incidents while delivering excellent customer service.

This role offers a flexible schedule via our Claim a Shift platform, with paid training and opportunities for growth within a dynamic, security-focused environment.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of security-related experience.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• Must be 18+ for unarmed; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check will be conducted as required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific screening procedures and emergency response activities.
• Screen employees, contractors, visitors, packages, and/or vehicles entering designated areas.
• Operate screening equipment and conduct visual inspections of belongings, packages, and freight; report prohibited items.
• Respond to incidents and document observations and reports.
• Conduct regular patrols of designated areas, access points, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $15.24 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM
• Sun 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific screening procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Screen employees, contractors, visitors, packages, and/or vehicles entering designated areas in accordance with established procedures.
• Operate screening equipment and conduct visual inspections of belongings, packages, and freight as permitted by site procedures; report prohibited items or irregularities to site leadership.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and completing required reports.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of designated areas, access points, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
