Job summary

Allied Universal in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Security Officer Entry Screening (Part Time). You will screen individuals, packages, and belongings and provide outstanding customer service while safeguarding clients in a logistics and distribution setting.

You will monitor access points, conduct routine patrols, respond to incidents calmly, and maintain a visible presence to deter security issues. Pay is $18.30/hour with Sat-Sun overnight shifts; use our shift-claim platform to build your schedule.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18 for unarmed roles.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen required.
• Driver's license required only for driving positions.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors and personnel by carrying out site-specific screening procedures and policies.
• Screen individuals, packages, and belongings entering designated areas.
• Monitor access points and observe activity, reporting suspicious activity or security concerns.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies calmly, following escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility, loading areas and perimeter.
• Maintain a visible security presence to deter incidents.

As a Screener at a logistics and distribution location, you will help support a secure environment by screening individuals and/or items, monitoring access points, conducting routine patrols, and maintaining a visible presence to help deter incidents. You will provide outstanding customer service and clear communication while working collaboratively with Allied Universal teammates. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $18.30 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat: 12:00 AM - 10:00 AM
• Sun: 12:00 AM - 10:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and/or personnel by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Screen individuals, packages, and/or belongings entering designated areas in accordance with established procedures and applicable site requirements.
• Monitor access points and observe activity within the logistics and distribution location, reporting suspicious activity, policy violations, and security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and notification procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility, loading areas, and perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by site.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
