Job summary

Allied Universal, Louisville, KY, is seeking a Security Officer Screening Intake Specialist to monitor access, screen personnel and property, and verify badges at a busy distribution site. This part-time position offers a flexible schedule and opportunities to advance via the Claim a Shift platform.

As a Screener, you will maintain a secure environment through observation and customer service. Pay is $17.33 per hour, with day and night shifts posted; candidates must meet minimum security

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• X-ray screening experience preferred.
• Alarm panel experience preferred.
• Must be 18+ (21+ for armed) and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and drivers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Screen personnel, visitors, and authorized property in accordance with site procedures, documenting and escalating irregularities to site leadership and/or appropriate responders.
• Verify access credentials and direct authorized individuals to designated areas while helping to deter unauthorized entry into the distribution location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and notification procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of loading areas, trailer yards, entry points, and the business perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by site.

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.


• Customer service experience is preferred.


• Access control and badge experience is preferred.


• X-ray screening experience is preferred.

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.


• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
