Allied Universal is hiring a Part-Time Security Officer Screening Gatekeeper in Indianapolis, IN. You will screen people and property, monitor access points, and provide exceptional customer service to clients and visitors while upholding security procedures.

Qualifications

• Background investigation will be conducted in accordance with applicable laws.
• Drug screen may be required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• Experience in Loss Prevention is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and personnel by carrying out security-related procedures and policies.
• Screen personnel, visitors, packages, and property at the logistics location according to access-control procedures.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, inspect items, and report unauthorized access or prohibited items.
• Respond to incidents calmly and follow site procedures while communicating with appropriate personnel.
• Conduct patrols of screening areas, shipping/receiving zones, parking, and perimeter; document observations.

As a Screener at a logistics and distribution location, you will help support a secure environment by monitoring access points, screening people and property, and reporting security-related concerns. You will remain visible to help deter incidents while delivering exceptional customer service and clear communication. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $17.22 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Tue 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
Sun 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Screen personnel, visitors, packages, and property entering or exiting the logistics and distribution location in accordance with established access-control and screening procedures.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, inspect authorized items as required, and report unauthorized access attempts or prohibited items to site leadership.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and communicating with appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of screening areas, shipping and receiving zones, parking areas, and the perimeter; document observations and report security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Loss Prevention experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
