Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer at our Indianapolis, IN location. You will provide customer service, perform screening, operate screening equipment, and help maintain a secure environment at a fast-paced logistics and distribution site.

The role includes a part-time schedule, a pay rate of $17.22 per hour, and opportunities for training and career growth. A high school diploma and background check are required; a drug screen and licensing may be required for certain

Qualifications

• The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Screen authorized personnel, visitors, packages, and/or shipments in accordance with site procedures and applicable requirements.
• Operate screening equipment and conduct inspections of items entering designated logistics and distribution areas.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and report observations through established channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including business operations and perimeter locations, to help deter unauthorized activity.

• Fri - 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Sat - 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
