Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Threat Screening Security Officer in Indianapolis, IN. You will screen personnel and belongings, monitor access points, and patrol designated areas to deter security incidents while delivering professional customer service.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants will be subject to a background investigation.
• Allied Universal will require a drug screen where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply depending on state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and personnel by carrying out security-related screening procedures and site policies.
• Screen individuals, packages, shipments, and belongings per site procedures and access requirements.
• Monitor screening equipment and access points; report unusual activity or policy concerns to site contacts and leadership.
• Respond to incidents calmly and follow reporting/escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of screening areas, loading zones, and perimeter areas.

Pay Rate: $17.22 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Fri: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and/or personnel by carrying out security-related screening procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Screen individuals, packages, shipments, and/or belongings in accordance with applicable site procedures and access requirements.
• Monitor screening equipment and access points, report unusual activity, prohibited items, or policy concerns to appropriate site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned screening areas, loading zones, business operations, and perimeter areas as directed.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
