Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a full-time security officer to help safeguard facilities and provide exceptional service to clients and visitors. You will enforce site policies, conduct screenings, and help manage incidents during night hours.

Responsibilities include access control, routine patrols, and reporting unusual activity while working with client teams. A HS diploma, 2+ years security experience, valid driver’s license, and background check are required, with comprehensive benefits

Qualifications

• Possess 2+ years of security-related experience.
• A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation required and employment subject to drug screen.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or personnel while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Operate assigned screening points by inspecting people, packages, vehicles, and/or materials in accordance with site procedures and applicable requirements.
• Monitor access to restricted and operational areas, verify credentials as directed, and report unauthorized access attempts or unusual activity.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established notification and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of screening areas, operational spaces, and the perimeter, as assigned; working environments and conditions may vary by location.

• Mon 10:00 PM - 06:30 AM
• Tue 10:00 PM - 06:30 AM
• Wed 10:00 PM - 06:30 AM
• Sat 10:00 PM - 06:30 AM
• Sun 10:00 PM - 06:30 AM

What You'll Do:

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
