Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, seeks a Security Officer Screener in Sioux Falls, SD. You will support access screening, monitor areas, and help maintain a secure environment for employees and visitors, using computer tools to document activity and deliver exceptional customer service.

This full-time role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, and you may be subject to a background check and drug screening.

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology, media, and telecommunications location.
• Screen individuals, credentials, packages, and deliveries according to access-control procedures; guide visitors to check-in points.
• Monitor entry points and screening equipment; report unusual conditions or access concerns.
• Respond calmly to incidents and alarms following emergency procedures and notify contacts.
• Conduct regular patrols of screening areas and perimeter to deter unauthorized access.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Screener in Sioux Falls, SD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Screener in a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will support access screening, monitor assigned areas, and help maintain a secure environment for employees and visitors. Use computer or tablet tools to document activity, communicate professionally, and provide exceptional customer service. What You’ll Do

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies.
• Screen individuals, credentials, packages, and deliveries in accordance with established access-control procedures; direct authorized visitors to appropriate check-in points.
• Monitor entry points, visitor activity, and screening equipment, reporting unusual conditions, access concerns, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following emergency response procedures and notifying appropriate contacts.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned screening areas, entrances, and surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized access; working environments and conditions may vary by location.

Minimum Requirements

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
