Job summary

Allied Universal, Sioux Falls, SD, is seeking a Security Officer Screening to support a technology-focused site. The role involves screening personnel, visitors, and deliveries, verifying IDs, and maintaining visitor logs to enforce access-control protocols.

You will respond to incidents professionally, conduct patrols, and deter unauthorized activity while providing customer service to employees and guests. This is a full-time, on-site position with a competitive hourly pay rate.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check as a condition of employment.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and delivery personnel at a technology-focused location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
• Screen personnel, visitors, packages, and deliveries in accordance with access-control requirements and established screening protocols.
• Verify identification, maintain accurate visitor records, and direct authorized individuals to appropriate check-in or reception areas.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of designated screening areas, entry points, and surrounding business perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.

• Mon 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Tue 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Wed 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Thur 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Fri 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Preferred: Be comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
