• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and delivery personnel at a technology-focused location by carrying out site-specific procedures and access screening.

• Monitor entry activity and report unauthorized access or policy concerns.
• Respond to incidents calmly following escalation protocols.
• Conduct regular patrols of screening areas and entry points, documenting observations.

As a Security Officer Checkpoint Inspection in Sioux Falls, SD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Screener with Allied Universal at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will help maintain a welcoming environment by screening visitors, monitoring access points, and reporting security-related concerns. You will use computer or tablet tools as needed, provide outstanding customer service, and communicate professionally while supporting a culture built on agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, care, and integrity.

Pay Rate: $20.14 / Hour

Job Schedule

• Thur: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Fri: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sat: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sun: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and delivery personnel at a technology-focused location by carrying out site-specific procedures, access screening requirements, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Screen personnel, visitors, packages, and deliveries in accordance with established entry procedures; verify credentials and direct individuals to appropriate access points.
• Monitor entry activity and report unauthorized access attempts, suspicious items, or policy concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and communication protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned screening areas, entry points, and the surrounding perimeter, documenting observations and incidents as required.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
