Allied Universal in Madison, AL is seeking a Security Officer Screener to support access control at a technology-focused facility. You will screen personnel and visitors, verify badges, and report security concerns while maintaining a welcoming, professional presence.

As a full-time role with shifts including overnight hours, you will participate in site-specific procedures, patrol entry points, and incident documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Background check will be conducted as per federal, state and local laws.
• Age: 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel.
• Screen individuals, packages, deliveries, and/or property entering the location per site procedures.
• Verify identification, access credentials, and visitor authorization; document as required.
• Respond to incidents and security concerns with calm, professional handling.

Pay Rate: $17.46 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Tue: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Wed: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Thur: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology-focused facility by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Screen individuals, packages, deliveries, and/or property entering the location in accordance with established screening procedures and site requirements.
• Verify identification, access credentials, and visitor authorization; maintain accurate visitor, delivery, and incident documentation as required.
• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; promptly communicate observations to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned screening areas, entry points, and surrounding business perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
