Job Description

As a Security Officer Bicycle Patrol Ambassador in Cary, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a public school setting, you will conduct routine bicycle patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. You will provide outstanding communication and customer service while responding to concerns with integrity. Pay Rate: $17.06 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and/or contractors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at an educational campus location.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of school buildings, parking areas, entrances, athletic facilities, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, documenting observations and reporting unusual conditions to appropriate school personnel and/or emergency responders.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and critical events in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and contacting appropriate resources as needed.
• Complete accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and patrol documentation, and communicate relevant information during shift transitions.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be able to ride a bicycle.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
