Allied Universal is seeking a Security Guard Part Time Unarmed Bicycle Patrol Driver in Cary, NC. You will serve and safeguard clients across government sites and more, using bicycle patrols to deter incidents while delivering courteous customer service to students, staff, and visitors.

The position offers a part-time schedule with set shifts and requires a valid driver’s license for driving posts; prior security or customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and community members by carrying out site-specific security procedures and emergency response activities at educational facilities.

• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, direct guests, and report concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Document incidents and patrol activities accurately in site systems.

Pay Rate: $17.06 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and/or community members by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at educational facilities.
• Respond to incidents, disruptions, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and notification procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of school buildings, grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directing guests, and report suspicious conditions or policy concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and promptly in accordance with site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be able to ride a bike.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
