Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Part Time Alarm Panel Patrol in Cary, NC. You will provide security for school environments, patrol facilities, monitor alarms, and engage with students, staff and visitors, delivering professional customer service.

Qualifications

You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to alarms and security-related concerns, and provide professional customer service to students, staff, and visitors. Pay Rate: $17.59 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and/or community members by carrying out site-specific procedures, school district policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to established procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of school buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, visitor activity, and restricted areas; communicate observed concerns, policy violations, and maintenance issues to appropriate school personnel and/or Allied Universal supervision.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain clear communication with school personnel, emergency responders, and Allied Universal leadership regarding incidents and daily activities.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least two years of security-related experience is required.
• Supervisory experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
