Job summary

Allied Universal in Cary, NC is hiring a Security Officer Full Time Bicycle Patrol Driver to safeguard clients across school campuses. You will perform regular bicycle patrols, monitor access points, report incidents, and provide excellent customer service to students, staff and visitors.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and school community members while following site procedures and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, bus zones, and perimeter areas to identify hazards.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity per school procedures and report unauthorized access or suspicious behavior.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical events, and critical situations calmly and follow protocols, contacting emergency services as needed.
• Prepare accurate activity, incident, and shift reports and communicate information to leadership and site contacts.

As a Security Officer Full Time Bicycle Patrol Driver in Cary, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a driving unarmed patrol officer at a public school location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine vehicle and bicycle patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. You will deliver exceptional customer service and clear communication while responding to security-related concerns. What You’ll Do

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and school community members while carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of school buildings, grounds, parking areas, bus zones, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and potential hazards.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with established school procedures, reporting unauthorized access or suspicious behavior to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical events, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established protocols and contacting emergency services and/or school personnel as appropriate.
• Prepare accurate activity, incident, and shift reports, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and designated site contacts.

Minimum Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Must be able to ride a bike.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
