Securitas US Business Unit is hiring a part‑time Security Officer in Centralia, MO. The role supports a safe environment by monitoring premises, enforcing site directives, and performing access control tasks during weekend night shifts.

The position emphasizes customer service, alertness, and the ability to respond calmly in stressful situations while coordinating with client staff and security teams. Training and uniforms are provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 18 years of age or older.
• Above average computer / technology skills needed.
• Security, Law Enforcement, or Military experience a plus.
• Excellent customer service and team leadership skills needed.

Responsibilities

• Conflict resolution and de-escalation.
• Frequent interactions with client employees and guests.
• Identify and report safety issues or suspicious activity.
• Ensure post orders are followed and rounds completed.
• Front desk / access control duties such as creating badges for visitors and answering phones.
• Dispatching duties.
• Provide customer service and information to the client’s employees and guests.
• Utilize technology devices during shift.
• Extensive foot patrols of the property.

Security Officer's - Part Time

Primary Location: Centralia, MO

Wage: $18.50/HR

Weekends Only: 11PM - 7AM (subject to change)

The Security Officer helps maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients by actively monitoring the premises, including access control and patrolling a variety of locations. They preserve order whileenforcing regulations and directives for our client sites pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area.

What You Can Expect:

Basic Requirements:

• 18 years of age or older.

• Security, Law Enforcement, or Military experience a plus.
• Excellent customer service and team leadership skills needed.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Must be able to remain calm and professional during stressful situations.
• Must have great attention to detail and remain vigilant throughout shift.
• Must have a professional demeanor.
• Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgment and use appropriate escalation.
• All candidates must be willing to participate in the Company’s pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.
• Valid Drivers License required.
• No security license needed.
