Securitas Security Services USA, Inc. is seeking a Part-time Security Officer in Jefferson City, MO. The role involves monitoring the premises, controlling access, and patrolling multiple locations.

The ideal candidate will have HS diploma or GED, strong customer service, and the ability to stay calm in stressful situations. This position offers a flexible schedule with coverage for swing, graveyard, and weekend shifts.

Responsibilities

• Access control duties - checking in trucks.
• Monitor CCTV cameras, alarms, and other security systems.
• Check identification and verify visitors, employees, contractors, and deliveries.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for employees, visitors, and property.
• Respond promptly to security incidents, emergencies, alarms, and suspicious activity.
• Prepare accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and security logs.

Part-time Security Officer

Primary Location: Jefferson City, MO

Wage: $17.60/HR

Schedule: Tues: 2230 - 0630 (8 hour shift)

TheSecurity Officer helps maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients by actively monitoring the premises, including access control and patrolling a variety of locations. They preserve order whileenforcing regulations and directives for our client sites pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area.

This is a great opportunity to work a flexible schedule and help cover additional shifts as needed for swing, graveyard, and weekend shifts.

What You Can Expect:

• Access control duties - checking in trucks.
• Answering phones and learning how to use the Vision phone.
• Monitor the assigned property to prevent theft, vandalism, and unauthorized access.
• Check identification and verify visitors, employees, contractors, and deliveries.
• Monitor CCTV cameras, alarms, and other security systems.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for employees, visitors, and property.
• Respond promptly to security incidents, emergencies, alarms, and suspicious activity.
• Prepare accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and security logs.
• Enforce company security policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Conduct regular inspections of doors, gates, equipment, and security areas.
• Report safety hazards, suspicious behavior, damaged property, or security concerns to management.
• Assist during emergencies, evacuations, medical incidents, fires, and other critical situations.
• Communicate professionally with employees, visitors, law enforcement, and emergency personnel.
• Maintain confidentiality and protect company information and property.
• Provide excellent customer service while maintaining security standards.
• Follow all company policies and applicable laws and regulations.
• Conduct long distance foot patrols about 7 - 10 miles per shift which include stairs (long distance patrols can be spilt up) and Setting for long periods of time.

Basic Requirements:

• 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Above average computer / technology skills needed.
• Security, Law Enforcement, or Military experience a plus.
• Excellent customer service and team leadership skills needed.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Must be able to remain calm and professional during stressful situations.
• Must have great attention to detail and remain vigilant throughout shift.
• Must have a professional demeanor.
• Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgment and use appropriate escalation.
