Securitas Security Services USA, Inc. in Jefferson City, Missouri is seeking a part-time Flex Officer to join our security team. The role combines fixed shifts with flexibility across the Fri-Sun 24-hour week, supporting client sites with access control, patrols, and incident response.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones and learn the Vision phone system.
• Conduct foot patrols and monitor access at facility entrances.
• Verify credentials for employees, contractors, vendors and visitors.
• Maintain logs for vehicles, deliveries, and incidents.
• Operate gate/access-control systems and issue badges as needed.
• Communicate with site management and drivers regarding deliveries and access.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies following procedures.

Wage Range: $15.00-$18.50/HR

Flex Officer Schedule: Fri - Sun: (24 Hours Per Week)

• 0600 - 1400
• 1400 - 2200

Security Officer Schedule: Mon - Fri (30 Hours Per Week)

• 1500-2100

What You Can Expect:

• Answering phones and learning how to use the Vision phone.
• Conduct foot patrols and Setting for long periods of time.
• Monitor and control access at the facility entrance and exit gates.
• Verify employee, contractor, vendor, and visitor credentials before allowing access.
• Check delivery trucks and vehicles entering and leaving the property.
• Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing victors, vehicles, drivers, and deliveries.
• Operate computerized gate and access-control systems.
• Issue and collect visitor or temporary access badges as required.
• Communicate with site management, employees, vendors, and truck drivers regarding deliveries and access procedures.
• Monitor the gate area for unauthorized entry, suspicious activity, safety concerns, or security violations.
• Conduct vehicle and perimeter checks as assigned.
• Maintain a professional and courteous presence while enforcing site security policies.
• Complete daily activity logs, vehicle logs, incident reports, and other required documentation.
• Respond to security incidents, alarms, emergencies, and other unusual situations.
• Visitor Check-In / Check-Out and ensure visitors are directed to the appropriate contact or location.
• Verify bills of lading, shipping documents, or other required paperwork.
• Follow all procedures for loading, unloading, and seal verification when applicable.

Basic Requirements:

• 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Above average computer / technology skills needed.
• Excellent customer service and team leadership skills needed.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Must be able to remain calm and professional during stressful situations.
• Must have great attention to detail and remain vigilant throughout shift.
• Must have a professional demeanor.
• Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgment and use appropriate escalation.
• All candidates must be willing to participate in the Company’s pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Security experience required.
