Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Routine Patrol in Chester, VA. You will monitor assigned areas, conduct patrols, and maintain a visible presence to deter incidents while delivering excellent customer service to employees and visitors.

Position is full-time, daytime and evening shifts with a pay rate of $19.00 per hour. You will operate in a technology-focused environment and support a welcoming, safe workplace in the Chester area.

Qualifications

• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Background check in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screen may be required by law.
• Licensing requirements depend on state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and delivery personnel at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures and policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner per escalation and reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of buildings, offices, loading areas, parking facilities, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials as directed by site procedures, maintaining logs and incident documentation.
• Communicate with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership regarding observed conditions and incidents.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and delivery personnel at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, offices, loading areas, parking facilities, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and maintain accurate logs and incident documentation.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership regarding observed conditions, policy violations, and security-related incidents.

Minimum Requirements:

• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
