Job Description

As a Security Officer Residential Access Controlin Calabasas, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a residential community, you will help maintain a welcoming, secure environment by monitoring entry points, verifying access, conducting routine patrols, and remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication to residents, guests, and visitors while supporting Allied Universal’s caring, reliable, and integrity-driven culture through teamwork.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, vendors, and/or visitors while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities at a residential community.
• Monitor vehicle and pedestrian access at entry points, verify authorized access, maintain visitor and vendor records, and direct guests according to community procedures.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to established procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of community entrances, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Prepare clear, accurate activity reports and communicate relevant observations, incidents, and access-control matters to Allied Universal leadership and property representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
