Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, seeks a Security Officer Residential Access Control in Calabasas, CA. You will monitor entry points, verify access, perform routine patrols, and stay visible to deter incidents while delivering excellent resident and guest service.

You will prepare clear activity reports, communicate observations to leadership, and collaborate with property representatives to maintain a welcoming, secure environment.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of security-related experience required.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet preferred.
• A guard card or license preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds preferred.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check and drug screen may be required.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, vendors, and visitors while following site-specific security procedures.
• Monitor vehicle and pedestrian access at entry points and verify authorized access.
• Direct guests according to community procedures and maintain visitor records.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and resident concerns while escalating as needed.
• Conduct regular patrols of entrances, common areas, and parking locations and report concerns.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Residential Access Control in Calabasas, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a residential community, you will help maintain a welcoming, secure environment by monitoring entry points, verifying access, conducting routine patrols, and remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication to residents, guests, and visitors while supporting Allied Universal’s caring, reliable, and integrity-driven culture through teamwork.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, vendors, and/or visitors while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities at a residential community.
• Monitor vehicle and pedestrian access at entry points, verify authorized access, maintain visitor and vendor records, and direct guests according to community procedures.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to established procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of community entrances, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Prepare clear, accurate activity reports and communicate relevant observations, incidents, and access-control matters to Allied Universal leadership and property representatives.

Minimum Requirements

• At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
