Job summary

Securitas, Inc. is seeking a full-time Security Officer in Northbrook, IL to help maintain a safe environment for our clients. The role involves access control, patrolling multiple sites, and enforcing site rules to protect people and property.

You will work Mon-Fri with two shift options (7AM-3PM or 3PM-11PM), enjoy comprehensive benefits, paid training, uniforms provided, and weekly pay. Strong customer service and the ability to stay calm under pressure are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Proficient with computers/technology.
• Excellent customer service and team leadership skills.
• Ability to work independently and remain calm in stressful situations.
• Driver certified.
• Security experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conflict resolution and de-escalation.
• Frequent interactions with client employees and guests.
• Identify and report safety issues, hazardous conditions, or any suspicious activity.
• Ensure that all post orders are followed and assigned rounds are completed.
• Provide customer service and information to the client’s employees and guests.
• Utilizing technology devices throughout shift.
• Conduct tours of the property.
• Carry out specific tasks and duties of similar nature and scope as required for assigned site.

Primary Location: Northbrook, IL

Wage: $21.00/HR

Available Schedules:

• Mon - Fri: 7AM - 3PM
• Mon - Fri: 3PM - 11PM

The Security Officer helps maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients by actively monitoring the premises, including access control and patrolling a variety of locations. They preserve order while enforcing regulations and directives for our client sites pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area.
