Virtua Health is seeking a Security Officer to safeguard buildings, grounds, and assets across facilities in Willingboro, NJ. You will monitor entry points with screening systems, assist visitors and staff, and respond to emergencies while enforcing policy and procedure.

Must have HS diploma or equivalent and valid credentials where applicable. Responsibilities include weapon screening, badge verification, incident reporting, and coordination with law enforcement as needed.

Qualifikationen

• 2 years security experience preferred.
• Ability to stay levelheaded and respond quickly in stressful situations.
• Proficient written and oral communication skills.

Aufgaben

• Perform duties at all assigned posts including walking and mobile security rounds, stationary posts, traffic control, and special assignments.
• Monitor doors, surveillance cameras, and alarms as part of security coverage.
• Utilize health system technology to manage visitor control, data input/output, weapon screening, investigations, incident reports, and shift logs.
• Communicate clearly with division team members, supervisors, nursing staff, and law enforcement.
• Escort visitors, vendors, patients, and staff as needed; verify IDs and badges; issue ID bands and passes.
• Respond to maintenance issues and escalate to leadership when needed.
• Respond to emergencies (CODE Security/RED) and hazardous chemical spills, serving as first-level responder.
