Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and staff while enforcing security procedures.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols across the store floor, entrances, stock areas, parking areas, and perimeter.
• Observe and report suspicious activity, violations, hazards, and incidents to store contacts and leadership.
• Respond to incidents calmly and professionally following site procedures.
• Assist with access control, customer assistance, and documentation of activities and observations.

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Perimeter Patrol in Plainfield, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer in a retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for shoppers and team members. You will conduct routine patrols, assist with access control, communicate professionally, and provide exceptional customer service. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $18.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 01:00 PM - 09:00 PM
• Tue: 01:00 PM - 09:00 PM
• Wed: 01:00 PM - 09:00 PM
• Thur: 01:00 PM - 09:00 PM
• Fri: 11:00 AM - 07:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and store team members while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail sales floor, entrances, stock areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Observe and report suspicious activity, policy violations, hazards, and incidents to appropriate store contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures.
• Assist with access control, customer assistance, and documentation of daily activities, incidents, and observations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.l
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
