Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, seeks a Security Officer Unarmed Perimeter Walkthrough in Indianapolis, IN, to protect clients and assets with professionalism.

This Part-Time role offers weekend coverage (Sat and Sun shifts) with flexible scheduling via our Claim a Shift platform. You will monitor, deter incidents, and maintain a visible presence while delivering exceptional customer service.

Qualifications

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law and drug screen as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees while carrying out security-related procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations following escalation protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols within the financial institution location and perimeter.
• Monitor access points and report unusual activity or maintenance concerns.
• Prepare accurate activity logs and incident reports for leadership and site contacts.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established escalation protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the financial institution location, including business areas, entry points, parking areas, and perimeter.
• Monitor access points and report unusual activity, policy violations, maintenance concerns, and other security-related issues to the appropriate personnel.
• Prepare accurate activity logs and incident reports, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
