Allied Universal® is seeking a Security Officer (Full Time Unarmed Patrol) in Plainfield, IL. You will patrol facilities, provide exceptional customer service, monitor access, and document observations using tablets.

Responsibilities

• Respond to incidents and alarms in a calm, problem-solving manner and notify site contacts and responders as needed.
• Prepare clear activity, incident, and shift reports with observations from patrols.

• Wed: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Thur: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Fri: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Sat: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Sun: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a food and beverage production or distribution location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, production-adjacent areas, parking areas, access points, and the perimeter to help identify unusual conditions and help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the location by verifying credentials, documenting visitor and contractor entry, and following established procedures for deliveries, shipments, and restricted areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency responders according to established protocols.
• Prepare clear and accurate activity, incident, and shift reports, including observations from patrols and any security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
