Job summary

Allied Universal, Indianapolis, IN, is seeking a Part Time Unarmed Security Officer for a visibility patrol at a retail site. You will provide customer service, deter incidents, and maintain a visible presence to protect clients, visitors, and staff.

You will work Sat 06:00 AM – 06:00 PM and Sun 06:00 AM – 06:00 PM, earning $15.00 per hour, with opportunities to grow through training and our shift-claiming platform. Join a team that values integrity, teamwork, and service to the community.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background checks required in accordance with federal, state and local laws.
• Criminal histories considered in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations calmly and according to site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, observe visitor and vendor activity, and direct authorized personnel to areas of the location.
• Document incidents and patrol observations accurately and communicate information to supervisors and site representatives.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location, parking areas, loading and receiving areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, observe visitor and vendor activity, and assist with directing authorized personnel to appropriate areas of the location.
• Document incidents, unusual activity, and patrol observations accurately, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal supervisors and site representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
