Allied Universal in Salinas, CA is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer (Patrol Presence) to monitor residential communities, deter incidents, and provide excellent customer service. You will perform regular patrols, manage access points, and maintain a visible security presence to protect residents and property.

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a residential community, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security‑related incidents. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting residents, visitors, and property needs. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $21.11 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Thur 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM
• Fri 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out site‑specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of residential buildings, common areas, parking areas, and property perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, helping to maintain an orderly residential environment.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, escalating matters to appropriate personnel and/or emergency services when needed.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain activity logs for patrols, incidents, observations, and security‑related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
