Allied Universal is seeking an unarmed Security Officer Patrol Public Assistance in Saddle Brook, NJ. You will patrol, provide premier customer service to tenants and visitors, monitor access points, and respond to incidents with professional judgment.

The role emphasizes a visible security presence and a welcoming environment while adhering to site procedures and laws. Full-time hours with a schedule that includes nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• State/county/city security license preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check in accordance with laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories.
• Drug screen as permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and/or property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of commercial property common areas, building exteriors, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the property, reporting unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, and security-related incidents.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders as needed.
• Prepare clear and accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.

Pay Rate: $18.04 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 09:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Tue: 09:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Wed: 09:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Sun: 09:00 PM - 07:00 AM

What You’ll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
