Job summary

Allied Universal in Longport, NJ is seeking a Security Officer Patrol to monitor a residential community, deter incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service with a calm, professional presence.

You will conduct unarmed patrols, monitor entrances, verify access, maintain logs, and report observations to site management, supporting a safe and welcoming environment. This full-time role includes overnight shifts and requires 1 year of security experience and a HS diploma.

Qualifications

• 1 year of security-related experience at minimum.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Licensing preferred but not always required, as per state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, visitors, and vendors while following site procedures and emergency response protocols.
• Respond to incidents and concerns in a calm, professional manner and document observations.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of residential buildings, common areas, parking areas, entrances, and perimeters.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization; maintain logs and incident reports.
• Communicate observations and maintenance concerns to site management and leadership per procedures.

As a Security Officer Patrol in Longport, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a residential location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, respond to resident and visitor needs, and report observations. What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, visitors, and/or vendors while carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a residential community.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, access-control issues, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of residential buildings, common areas, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as required by site procedures, and maintain accurate logs and incident reports.
• Communicate observations, maintenance concerns, and security-related incidents to site management and Allied Universal leadership in accordance with established procedures.

Minimum Requirements

• Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
