Job summary

Allied Universal is the leading security and facility services provider in North America, seeking a Security Officer Patrol in Longport, NJ. You will patrol residential areas, deter incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service while following site procedures and reporting observations to management.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation as required by law.
• Drug screen required as permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements vary by state/local laws.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, visitors, and/or vendors while carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a residential community.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, access-control issues, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of residential buildings, common areas, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as required by site procedures, and maintain logs and incident reports.
• Communicate observations, maintenance concerns, and security-related incidents to site management and Allied Universal leadership.

• Fri: 01:00 AM - 09:00 AM
• Sun: 05:00 PM - 01:00 AM

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
